Vacuum brazing has several advantages. Important advantages are that parts come out of the process very clean and free of discoloration and that the entire product is heated during the process. Full heating ensures good process control, which can limit unwanted distortion from local heating. Furthermore, brazing processes can also be perfectly combined with the heat treatment of the base material (think of hardening, solution annealing, magnetic annealing and so on).
Due to the precise process control, vacuum brazing has the option of using brazing materials that match the chosen base material very well in terms of properties (strength and corrosion).
